Elegant and Functional: Kaifort Launches New Sunshade Design

Kaifort Membrane Structure has successfully installed a new tensile membrane sunshade​ in a public square within a scenic area. This elegantly designed tensile membrane landscape canopy, with its unique form and practical features, adds a new service amenity to the location.

Project Background

The management of the scenic square sought to add rest facilities that would provide shelter from sun and rain for visitors. Kaifort proposed the umbrella-shaped tensile membrane square rain shelter​ design, which was approved. The project site is in a high-traffic area of the square, requiring a structure that harmonizes with its surroundings.

Design and Construction

The design team created a floral-inspired tensile membrane sunshade​ with a clean, white membrane surface. The structure utilizes a Q235 steel framework and PVDF membrane fabric to ensure durability. During construction, careful attention was paid to installing the central column securely and tensioning the membrane evenly to achieve the intended graceful shape.

Outcome

Since its installation, the sunshade has become a favored resting spot for visitors. The space beneath the canopy is spacious and comfortable, providing excellent shelter.
