A high-speed rail station is the city’s “drawing room.” The station square, which is the first sight for every passenger exiting the station, directly shapes their first impression of the city.

As shown in Image 1, the Ordos High-Speed Rail Station building is modern and magnificent, featuring a wavy, curved roof full of design. However, the expansive square in front lacked comfortable sheltered spaces for passengers during intense sun or inclement weather. The square management needed a solution that simultaneously met the following requirements:
