This completed project is a large-scale commercial membrane structure sunshade and rain shelter located in Zibo, Shandong. Covering an area of 750 square meters and finished within 35 days, the project was fully designed, produced and constructed by Weifang Kaifort Membrane Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. (KaiFort).

Project Background

With the vigorous development of urban night economy, open-air night markets have become important public commercial and leisure scenes. This project is built on the rooftop of an underground shopping mall, mainly used for night market stalls and outdoor stage performance areas.

The original open rooftop had no sunshade or rainproof facilities, resulting in unstable business operations and restricted stage activities under strong sunlight or rainy weather. The new membrane canopy provides all-weather protection and beautifies the overall commercial environment for the night market.

• Construction method: All steel components and membrane materials are prefabricated in the factory and assembled on site, greatly shortening the construction cycle and avoiding cross-construction interference.
