Yongcheng Petal Shape Tensile Membrane Landscape Project Case
This project is an artistic petal-style tensile membrane landscape built in Yongcheng city park. A total of 30 sets of petal membrane structures were completed within 20 days. The whole project including design, fabrication and on-site installation was delivered by Weifang Kaifort Membrane Structure Engineering Co., Ltd.(KaiFort).
Project Background
The client planned to upgrade the city park landscape and set up artistic decorative installations. The petal-shaped tensile membrane can enrich the park visual effect, add bright colors and create attractive photo spots for visitors. It combines artistic aesthetics and sunshade function perfectly.
Project Challenges
- Complex fabrication of custom pink mesh membrane: The customized pink PVDF1050 mesh membrane adopts curved petal shape. Cutting and hot welding require high precision, which takes much more processing time.
- Unified appearance requirement: 30 sets of petal installations need consistent radian and membrane tension to guarantee the overall visual effect.
- Short construction schedule: The whole project must be finished in 20 days, requiring well-organized production and installation.
Material & Construction Solution
We adopted factory prefabrication plus on-site hoisting workflow:
- Membrane material: PVDF1050 mesh fabric, custom pink color, soft light transmission, UV resistant and long outdoor service life.
- Main frame: Q235 steel structure with anti-corrosion treatment, stable and wind-resistant.
- Construction: All steel frames and membrane panels are prefabricated in factory, then transported to site for segmented hoisting and membrane tensioning, saving on-site working time.
Finished Result
All 30 petal membrane sculptures were delivered on schedule. The elegant petal shape with soft pink mesh fabric creates fantastic artistic scenery against the sky. The membrane installations serve as eye-catching landscape landmarks as well as sunshade facilities for the park.
